We are pleased to have been working on universal and accessible housing with the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) in Kansas City since 2019. This video offers an introduction to universal design renovations and to the "Remodeling for Accessible Homes" Guidebook.
This renovations guide for Marc is actually really useful and easy to understand, even if you’re a beginner or just getting started with home improvement. I like how it breaks down the steps clearly, from planning and budgeting to choosing the right materials and handling unexpected issues that always seem to pop up. Before reading this I didn’t realise how much detail goes into a good renovation plan, not just the fun stuff like picking colors or fixtures but also the behind-the-scenes work that makes sure everything lasts and stays safe.
